Understanding the Value of Time

We Can Pull a Rabbit Out of a Hat but . . . A Good Design Takes Time
We would like to push a magic button and instantly create a fabulous design for our clients; but the creative process is not a mechanical procedure. We use research, years of experience and our God given talents to develop a design that is customized. We are glad to work within budget restraints, but be aware that a two hour limit may not always give you the best results.
Below are a couple of examples that show that our time is a valuable asset for you.

To create the Wheel Chart above took a complicated mathematical solution.
- First three circles had to be made
- Then each of the outer two circles were divided into 9 equal parts
- Each of the 9 parts on the outer circle needed to be divided equally depending on how many sections there were for a color. For a total of 39 sections.
- All the above divisions where calculated by dividing the degrees of a circle
- Then the text was added on top of each section
- Each text box on the outer circle also had to be mathematically calculated to land in the center of each section
- This Wheel took approximately 4 hours to create.

A brochure page has more parts than realized. Many elements are for design and interest but are not noticed at first.
- This took 3 different design programs to do this type of creativity.
- Basic Layout of page is designed. Usually 3-4 designs before one is chosen. (See other design)
- Artistic elements are drawn and added (like the swirl and colored backgrounds on top and bottom of the page).
- Text is added and fonts are chosen.
- Each photo is opened, converted to CMYK (see glossary of terms), size checked and color and tones adjusted if necessary.
- Logos and company design elements are added (Fleur-De-Li and Regal Series Logo)
- Special design features like drop shadows and screens over the floor plans are added.
- Then tweaking to make everything balanced and pleasing.
- These steps are all done before the client ever sees it and starts to make changes.
- Total of 18 elements on this one page. This was one page of a 12 page brochure.
